Today multiFUELS Midstream LLC put into service the first phase of the replacement of the Bluebonnet Pipeline System which was acquired from Enterprise Product Partners LP on January 12th 2017. The Bluebonnet Pipeline System consists of 124 miles of high-pressure gas pipeline in Central Texas serving the communities of Bastrop, Elgin, Smithville, Giddings, Hallettsville, Weimer, Schulenberg and La Grange. The pipeline has served the communities for 60-80 years and needs replacement as new and shifting load growth has developed over time. The first phase of the Bluebonnet Pipeline System replacement plan included the construction of five new interconnects to a new supply source and 8.5 miles of additional 6-inch pipeline laterals in the towns of Bastrop and Elgin. The new pipes will provide natural gas transportation and related services to an investment grade utility serving the individual communities under long term contract.
